You were in a great mood, all excited because you said that everyone at school wanted to be on your basketball team. I said, "That's great! But I hope you're still playing with the kids who aren't as good as you are. You're measured in life not just by how you treat the people who have what you have, but by how you treat the people who have less than you." You replied, "I already know that, Nana taught me that." Nice answer, kid, nice answer. :)

This post isn't about you. I just really want to remember the weird weather we've had this year. This morning it was sunny and snowing at the same time. Two weeks ago it was raining and snowing at the same time. I saw that happen twice. So weird. So cool, but so weird.

You came in 3rd place in the art division for Reflections. The theme was "The Magic of a Moment". You drew a picture of yourself in the backyard shooting in a basket. You wrote that it's not about winning the big game, but rather that every successful shot was a magic moment. You came up with that all by yourself (and had you listened to me and Daddy, you probably wouldn't have won). We're so proud of you!!
