You called Nonna an Octopus. When I asked you why, you said because she carries so much stuff.

August 31st, 2011

After a one day delay, you started kindergarten. I'm still not sure how you're old enough to go to kindergarten, but hey, it's the law. You got dressed, helped me pack your backpack, posed on the front steps for pictures, and off we went. When we arrived at school, after dropping off Charlie, you played in the playground while we waited for your teacher. You were smiles and giggles while you and Thomas played tag, but then you fell and scraped your knee and that's where things started to take a turn for the worse. Mrs. Thomas came out to reintroduce herself and when she said that all the parents had to leave you lost it. Mrs. Thomas and the other teachers had to pull you off me. You were so mad, that when they lined you up to bring you inside, I yelled, "Goodbye Goose!" you wouldn't even turn around. That broke my heart.

What you did yesterday amazed me. You've grown from this tiny, little, sweet snuggly baby to this big, confident, creative, intelligent, happy little boy. I still remember the first day I dropped you off at daycare, and now you're in kindergarten. Part of me is so sad that this time has gone by so quickly. Part of me is so happy that you're at this next chapter of your life. I can't wait to see what's next.
