You turned 5!! Happy Birthday little man!! I can't believe it's been FIVE years. I am SO lucky to have gotten to spend the last five years as your mom. When you walked into school you told everyone, "It's my birthday!!" So adorable. :)

You did a great job seeing Santa at the mall! You told him what you wanted, and then he gave you a coloring book. See - he has been watching you! He knows you love to color!

When we walked out to the car, I let you get into the car by yourself, which means looking both ways and then going into the street to get to your side of the car. You looked both ways, and then we had this exchange:

Me: You looked both ways! Great job!
You: You let me walk into the street - I'm telling Daddy. You're going to be in trouble.
Me: I'm not afraid of Daddy.
You: Yes you are.
Me: No, I'm not. We're adults and we can disagree.
You: You guys fight. You're going to be in trouble.

Awesome that you're already an instigator!



Then, at night, we went to Target. You saw a bra and shouted "BOOBIES!!"

You said, "Mommy, I know I'm still a kid, but I want to know who I'm going to fall in love with."

You gave Abby her card and then gave me a high five.

You told me that it was your friend, Abby's, birthday and you wanted to buy her a present. I suggested you draw her a picture. At night, you made her a card and told Daddy that she wanted you to be her boyfriend and that you thought you were going to say yes, so that she'd be your girlfriend. Daddy told me that I've been replaced.
